- Born in New York Rudy went into the movie business at the tender age of 16. He ran the Bleecker Street Cinema in the early 60s, was editor and publisher of NY Film Bulletin, the publication that introduced the auteur theory to America. He then worked at 20th Centruy Fox as head of NY Newspaper publicity. Rudy started The Nostalgia Factory with his wife Barbara in 1970 and it went on the web with www.nostalgia.com selling only original movie posters in 1994.Rudy sold The Nostalgia Factory to Newbury Comics in 2004. Rudy and Barbara have both been appraisers on the PBS series Antiques Roadshow, specializing in popculture memorabilia since the show's first season 14 years ago. They are co-authors of Miller's Movie Collectibles, a book mainly about movie posters. Barbara runs www.reviewingtheevidence.com, a site devote to mystery fiction revierws.
